Systech to fatten up Openfield apps for Piggly Wiggly
2004-11-05 14:47 ET - News Release
Mr. Richard Adair reports
OPENFIELD SOLUTIONS EXPANDS PARTNERSHIP WITH PIGGLY WIGGLY IN NORTH CAROLINA
Systech Retail Systems Inc., doing business as Openfield Solutions, has signed a major contract with David Drose for the upgrade of his nine Piggly Wiggly stores to Openfield's ISIS/Store Central applications -- Microsoft.net based point-of-sale, back office and multistore management solutions.
The solution includes the addition of HP RP5000 POS lanes, new smart reader pinpads and new HP Proliant servers to every store. The new ISIS solution with Store Central will enable Piggly Wiggly to provide new levels of service to its customers. Based in St. Paul, N.C., Piggly Wiggly is a locally owned supermarket chain.
According to Mr. Drose, owner of these Piggly Wiggly stores: "We are very pleased with Openfield's software and software services over the past five years. We are anxious to move our stores forward by taking advantage of the new solutions' power and performance."
"Piggly Wiggly has been an excellent partner for Openfield Solutions," said Don Gusse, vice-president, sales and marketing, Openfield Solutions. "David and his team have helped us make our products stronger through his partnership. We are particularly pleased that he is now in a position to take advantage of our new offerings. Openfield is Piggly Wiggly proud."
