Breakup fee

Assuming there is a deal on the table but fails to come to fruition, STP should receive a breakup fee from the interested party.

Various sources estimate a % value of the deal as fair. However, what if this strategic review process lasts for a couple of more months. Would 1-3% of the deal be sufficient to cover STP for its losses? Could the breakup be exceed this 1-3% figure to more accurately reflect the STP's incurred losses?

Anyone have experience with this?

It's easy to estimate potential losses because of a delay to upgrading Senlac. $1.2 to $1.3 million NET per month @ increase of 2000 bbl/d But McKay's portion of losses incurred due to capex restriction is a little tougher to gauge. We don't know to what degree the ICDs have been a success, and the ARE a success(at least on Pad 102). We just don't know by how much. The capex ...more

Lets go back to the news of Dec.......... They executed on the financial side in 2 months................with that in place they gained interest on different options how to structure company going forward and I suspect multiple options have come available thus the capex time-out. .........no one likes the silence but it is as they said it would be Dec 11th...............................Again, I ...more
