Even if there were another ten companies like FNV or SSL out there offering streaming deals for financing, the junior mining scene would still find it hard to raise cash for economic projects. That's what's so great about streaming companies generally - high barrier to entry and no real competition whatsoever.

And there's almost nothing in the base metals space, which is sad because it's the base metal plays like copper that have the really high capex.
