Consolidation Question

Consolidation Question

Hi,

I have read several people indicate or surmise that post consolidation, they expect the shares to drop in price and they will scoop up shares at that time.  I'm just curious if someone can explain to me why it is believed that share price drops after a reverse split?  Thanks.
