Partial Fill on SND shares

Hmmm...interesting. I submitted a limit order for 5879 SND shares at .54.  At 12:15PM I see that the order was partial-filled - 5500 shares @ .54 but the rest of the order is wating to fill the 379 shares.

I took a look at the TMX site under SND and it shows no evidence the price ever dipped today after around 10AM.  From 12PM to now (12:45) all the trades were at .55.  And my TD charts show the same.  Given this, where did these 5500 shares @ .54 come from?  I will also have to assume that if the 379 shares don't get filled by end of day, the entire order is discarded...

Any thoughts?

It just dropped.  Your order is probably filled now.

You're 5500 shares are board lots and you're 379 shares are an odd lot. Usually what I've done in the past is get confirmation of the board lot fill then change the odd lot to a market order. You will then get filled. Also you now own the 5500 shares. That part of the order will not be discarded.

Hey Steve, thanks for your response.  Yeah, I see it just dropped but the ask price remains at .55 and my TD chart shows no drop.   The order still shows partially filled.  The weird thing is that there is no evidence of anyone selling it to me at .54 anytime in the past hour, yet my TD records show a partial fill of 5500 shares at .54.  Maybe it's a Halloween thing or ...more

Yeah, this is weird...my TDW current positions does not show the 5500 shares.  Any my only options are to cancel or change the order...I have never had to change an order before...so you say for me to change the order from 5879 (what is still listed when I go to change it) to 379 @ market price? Thanks for all your help - it is much appreciated.

@gazelle, don't do anything!  You got a partial fill of 5500 shares, so in the worst case situation, you won't get the last 379 shares.  Your order wasn't an "all or nothing" order, so whatever gets filled is what you get. Instead of asking here, have you thought about asking someone at TDW?  Just a thought. Trin

No you don't change the whole order because you already have a fill on 5500 shares. All you're doing is changing the odd lot to a market order. Simple

Ok, thank you very much everyone.  I appreciate your responses and apologize for taking forum space to ask this question.  Thank you, though.
