Gawd its getting bad in here...

The only thing that matters is that SND is RE-CAPITALIZED post consolidation, and that BETTER DECISIONS are made GOING FORWARD.

Rex & Rosa are written off, TBD is acting like its bad too, DON is dead in the water and could go either way, CSI is years out and Olyu Tolgoi is even FURTHER out...

could go either way" On the very eve of commercial production? With Xstrata as a partner and the increasing likelihood of extended mine life? Please share your doubts about DON in detail. You might consider what it is about the assertions in the following link that you believe are unfounded and lay that out for the board. https://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/messagedetail.aspx?p=0&m ...more

Pogohere, I am merely judging DON on the stock price actvity. Can you really tell me that things are rosy with the SP where it is? I COULD CARE LESS about posters who GET THE PUMP from management...   The SP ALWAYS tells the TRUE story ;)

Well Donner stands to make $12 - $15 million a year from its ownership in Bracemac, but they have ongoing capital expenditure requirements, and the mine life looks to be about 8 years.  So between on going capex, administrative overhead for the company, plus additional exploration costs, they are going to burn through probably $10 million of that cash flow, maybe more, which leaves very ...more

This why I've always advocated that SND get into the silver streaming business.      There have been too many failures with the early deals and IMO, this company needs positive cash flow, which sadly there isn't.   It's been six years since Nolan and David left SLW, so at least to me, leave SLW in the past and focus on getting this business moving forward in a ...more

1) The economics of the streaming business are much more competitive than they once were. There are few no-brainer deals. 2) SND doesn't have the cash to do one, much less "several," deals that will lead to near-term positive cash flow. A large component of SLW's successful run was due to making deals when the metal was trading in single digits. Prices go up, profit margin goes ...more

At that level of cashflow then fair value for DON as it stands right now (Zn $0.80-85), would be approx 3x or 18 cents per share.... I surmised over on the DON board that the company might be worth $0.25 if GlencoreX were to just take them out... Of course the Donner faithful scoffed at that price, but I don't think some of them have really factored in all the dilution and the outstanding loan ...more

from: The Essays of Warren Buffett (2003) He also dismisses efficient market theory (EMT), which holds that there is no point analyzing and calculating the value of a business because the stock market, working with perfect efficiency, always reveals a company’s value through its share price. In fact, he believes, prices only reflect value most of the time, and having total ...more
