RE: major new discovery
RE: major new discovery Excellent post exactlyhalfway, you are absolutely right. Unless you’ve been following Silvercrest for many years, you wouldn’t realize the significance of what Scott Drever said when he opined…“aggressively explore the La Joya property where the Company has a major new discovery”. I’ve been reading his comments and listening to his interviews for years and I can tell you he doesn’t normally make such bold statements. Silvercrest has got where it is today strictly on the actions of their management and staff and of course results. In no way have they ever relied on hype to bolster their stock price or make themselves appear like they have something they do not. My eyes opened wide when I read “major new discovery” in the latest press release because in my mind I know Scott Drever honestly believes that. If he didn’t or if there was some doubt in his mind he would have been much more conservative in his delivery, that’s just his nature from what I’ve observed.
Throw in the mix the recent news about Silvercrest paying down its debt obligation and you have a recipe for continued success and a reason to feel awfully optimistic at this time. Don’t take that news lightly. To me them paying off the debt early was huge. I’m not comparing the two even though La Joya is located very close to one of First Majestics properties, but I don’t think it was a coincident when First Majestics stock price launched from the $4 area up to the $20 level around the same time they made it publicly known they were in a position to fund their operations internally without having to seek outside sources. The less reliant on banker financings Silvercrest becomes, the less games will be played with their stock. The more strength they will enjoy in their share price and the more respect they’ll enjoy in the industry, especially from the investment community. All that adds up to higher future stock prices from my experiences.
Anyway, regardless of where the stock trades in the near term, I couldn’t be more pleased with the progress made to date by this management team. The future outlook for the company looks quite rosy from my vantage point.
Cheers to all!!!
Scott
