RE: Capital Cost

RE: Capital Costelitespooner

The capital cost to build the mine is currently pegged at 300 million. That being said that cost is under review as that feasiblity was done prior to the large increase in tonnage and carats. As an example two of the mines that are currently producing their capital sondtruction costs were as follows.

The Ekati diamond mine, about 300 kilometres north of Yellowknife, is something of a cash-cow for BHP Billiton. The mine opened in 1998, and cost about $900 million to build

Harry Winston have invested $787 million into underground mining infrastructure at Diavik. That's compared to the $1.3 billion it cost to build the original Diavik mine.

So as you can see 300 million is very cheap for a diamond mine. The costs up north are much higher due to labour and transportation costs as seen in the series "Ice Road Truckers".

hope this helps
