RE:SWY Fact Sheet ConfusingThat fully diluted number is scary, but what irks me the most about it is that it was easily avoidable. The model for transforming Stornoway's riches into value for shareholders had already been perfectly demonstrated (i.e. Aber). The company's high risk strategy for Renard made expensive and dilutive financing necessary. Financing costs always reflect risk. A fundamental axiom of corporate finance that our guys didn't seem to have a clue about. Why?
