Special Committee

The most recent news release from Synodon was as follows

EDMONTON, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - May 5, 2016) - Synodon Inc. ("Synodon" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:SYD) announced that the Board of Directors (the "Board") has established a special Committee (the "Special Committee") consisting of the independent members of the Board in order to evaluate strategic alternatives for the Company. The chairman of the Special Committee is Mr. John Pinsent, the current chair of the Audit Committee of the Company.

To get an idea of what Synodon might be considering, a read on John Pinsent might be a good idea and help to give some insight on what might be brewing with Synodon.

RedSox, not sure what John's profile migh tell us, he is a capable director from the looks of it but it provides no insights into Synodon's next steps. That release has been out for a month and we haven't yet heard anything except that their latest President is also going to leave.. Really not sure where this leaves the company and if even there is anything left to sell (which is what ...more

When a company like Synodon is tight lipped all that its shareholders are left with is their own resources and resourcefulness and to come to their own conclusions based on the limited information they have. In the news release it stated that John is on the Special Committee formed by Synodon and a look at John's profile tells you what he is involved in and why small businesses engage his ...more

Fair enough RedSox, however, John has been a director for Synodon for over 10 years and the likely reason why he is on the committee is because there are only two independent directors left in the company anyway....

What's next a 20:1 reverse split followed by another issuance of stock? I guess that or bankruptcy. Synodon as a whole needs to get their sh*t together. No good news or even support from the BOD's has been issued for over a year. It just seems like a plot to force the company into default ever since Adrian Banica departed as the CEO. Oh well live and learn. This company had potential but ...more

Concerning John, There's a little more to his committee involvement then just director convenience RedMan. I always speak to the company directly when I get my information, however they are not so obliging lately. The fact of the matter is Synodon is bankrupt that has always been obvious but now I am not so sure they come out of this. I swore I would not sell at these ridiculous prices but I ...more

10 bagger, Pinsent has been a director since May 2006 according to the 2007 Information Circular.

Reddongtx  It is very clear to me that you are an idiot troll who, when you are wrong, are too arrogant to admit that you're wrong and you are DEAD WRONG and quoting some obscure irrelevent Information Circular to substantiate you're ERROR is comical.  You have no credibilty of anything other than being a complete idiot.  You can search any site ( Reputable ones I might add  ...more

I see what your issue is.. you're relying on third party sites for your information. Every single one of the director listings in your example are wrong. Banica and Sheard are no longer directors and Laird and PVE have been directors for quite a few years now not just since last year. So much for reputable site! The document I quote is not obscure, it is part of the legal filings that the ...more

you're nothing but a troll that much is obvious. What I copied does not state that Banica is still a director it simply states when he became a director and those dates are even posted on his professional URL. Director Synodon Inc. August 2000 November 2015 (15 years 4 months) Synodon Inc. Founder, President and CEO Synodon Inc. August 2000 June 2015 (14 years 11 months)Edmonton, Canada Area ...more

ridiculous bun fight....while SYD sinks slowly....to ? In PVE's hands now 'cause of debt to Cranberry. He's a good man, imo....but still little hope for shareholders
Comment by nostril on Jun 17, 2016 11:14am
I used to think that PVE was a good man, now I'm not so sure. The key test will be what happens to the company. One scenario is that the company gets put into liqudation and then PVE agrees with the liquidator to accept the wiping out of his debt in exchange for the entire company. He gets the whole thing, shareholders get nothing. If this happens, and if he then makes money from SYD (either ...more
