Chemical Engineer (POTASH) - East Africa


Reference: 019-2004IE
Salary: negotiable
Start: ASAP

Our client is currently seeking an experienced chemical engineer to head up the solution well installation for their operations in East Africa.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring brine extraction from the solution wells
  • Managing the brine field and evaporation pond
  • Develop solution caverns
  • Provide technical support and advice for process design development

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary education: degree in chemical engineering
  • Work experience in the mining industry essential
  • At least 7 years' chemical engineering work experience
  • Sound knowledge of salt extraction, solution mining (2 years' experience)
  • Potash experience advantageous (feasibility stage)
  • Extensive expat background
