~Advice from EPO board. :-)

~Advice from EPO board. :-)Kobedog1 - (9/27/2013 2:41:44 PM)
Five years I watched the pumpers and longs

and finally I figured out what is really important.

News, momentum/volume, candlestick chart for one year, six months, three months and current. All taken together and considered. Then sit and look at their cold facts.

And finally I learned that the posters on these boards are comprised of guys like me, doing their best, pumpers, bashers, and knowledgeable folks who seem credible but who are often selling when they are encouraging. They are the really difficult ones to figure out.

I made $45,000 one summer, doing the opposite of what a guy on the west coast was saying to do.  That was NSM-X. Northern Star. I quit listening and reading, and started to really pay attention to the chart each day. Took me 18 months to begin to see what was really happening with a dog called NSM.

Now why do I write this?

There are some newer folks that always read these boards. Like me,they learn what to do and what not to do. Or they will lose all their capital. 95% lose it all in their first year. That is a fact.

What not to do is follow the dreams of the longs. Consider them. But never follow them, because longs do not care about time, and time is fleeting.

Especially with the programmed trading ( 90% of all trades or more), and the day traders - many who are unemployable otherwise, but are sharp with a computer.  The game is changed.  Three day runs mostly and a lot of sliding, sideways  or fast down, all deliberate, courtesy of the algorithms that work ceaselessly.

Forget fundamentals on the risky Venture, and quite risky TSE (non investment grade stuff). Investing is a word that should be outlawed.  You are not investing when you are on a board like this.

Thanks for reading this far. All my humble opinion, and all true.  I am old enough  now that I help where I think I can. And in this note today, there is  some stuff that will save you from yourself, if you apply it.

 Have a good weekend.
