RE: Ethiopia: An "African Spring" in 2012 Every now and then you see posts that tries to put the fear in the un educated. The small minority who oppose the government always express their feelings but can never have any significant impact on the country. They were doing the same thing when the Arab spring took place last year, writing Ethiopian needs an up rising, etc -- where did it get them? No where, they can write what ever they want, they will never influence the large population who support the government. Name me a country whose opposition and critics doesn't say nasty things about their own government.
Another main difference between Ethiopia and the Arab countries, Ethiopia has more than 60% Christians and the capital has more than 70% Christians. If it was a Muslim nation, I would be concerned but it's definitely not and will never be:

The opposition and critics of government can continue to dream and write what ever they want, they will never affect the affairs in Ethiopia. By the way, what country doesn't have opposition and critics who write trash about their government?
