Belarusian Potash Company contracts to ship fertilizers to China

25.02.2014 19:33

MINSK, 25 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Potash Company (BPC) has signed a contract to deliver potash fertilizers to China in H1 2014, the company’s press service told BelTA.

“We confirm that there is a contract and that the delivery volumes for the first half of the year correspond to the delivery volumes of the same period of last year,” BelTA has been told. “All the shipments of fertilizers to China are based on contracts”.

In H1 2013 BPC shipped about 700,000 tonnes of potassium chloride to Chinese partners and 300,000 tonnes as an option. The volume included fertilizers made by Belaruskali and Uralkali.

Earlier BPC released news of its victory in the tender to supply potash fertilizers to the company NAFAS till the end of 2014. NAFAS is the leading importer of mineral fertilizers and a manufacturer of compound fertilizers in Malaysia. The victory has allowed BPC to forecast a gradual increase in sales in Q1 2014.
