The halt is an IIROC halt and not at request of company. I finally got a look at the actual news release and it is definitely not company originated. The release is below and a sample release when it is by company request is below that for comparison. This is most likely one of the famous"we are unaware of the reason for the recent trading activity" releases coming up. Thats my take anyway . Read the two halt releases and make up your own mind. Some smoke getting blown up people's ashcracks around here today.
