RE:RE:RE:So most are confident this is indeed correct. The CMED board collectively owns or controls almost exactly 38% of shares. The three largest shareholders are (according to SEDI): Golden Opportunities Fund with 3,978,668 shares (17.7%); Saskworks Venture Fund with 1,943,064 shares; and Brent Zettl, CEO of CMED with 970,094 shares (4%), with another 1.38 million options. Golden Opportunities Fund is represented on the CMED board by Doug Banzet; Saskworks was represented by Rob Duguid until a couple of days ago. Rob also controlled shares of Apex Funds with about 5% (Apex + Saskworks = 11.5%). Also on the Board is Dwayne Lashyne (Quantico Capital) with 611,500 shares, and Donald Ching with almost 300,000 shares.
Total float: just shy of 23 million.
So for sure, the CMED Board (or at least some of them) approached ACB. But Rob's departure was certainly curious in this context, as was the deal with HIP. Not sure what's going on behind the scenes, but looking forward to finding out the full story.
