This is a way to hook young people with this very cheap very addictive drug. We can thank the incompetent Trudeau for this, with his bill to facilitate the entry of the Canadian border. Will it be all over the news? Of course not.

More than 200 importers, facilitators and hit killers linked to the powerful drug cartels roam freely in Quebec. Many have entered with fake Mexican passports since the relaxation of the rules at the border decreed by the Trudeau Government, in 2016, reveals our investigation office in a great report available on Thursday on Club illico.

Romualdo Lopez-Herrera landed at Toronto Pearson Airport in April 2018. The 41-year-old man, known in Mexico as a dangerous member of the drug cartels, managed to enter the country without a problem.

Although he is suspected of being a sicario, i.e. a Hitman, the Canada border services Agency (CBSA) and the Quebec Police Corps have lost track.

Six months after entering the country on 9 September, Lopez-Herrera, whose real name is Noah Hulloa Sevilla, was arrested for a case of extortion by the Quebec Police. But the criminal, who is actually a member of the violent gang of prisoners called Los Paisanos, is now nowhere to be found.

According to our information, the case of Lopez-Herrera is not unique. Several well-informed sources have confirmed that 400 criminals have recently entered Canada to smugate drug cartels. Half would have chosen Quebec as the host land.

"It is very serious that there are people who are infiltrating our homes in Quebec City, Montreal or Toronto, and we are not able to find them. Do you think people can accept that? "asks the Conservative MP for Charlesbourg – Haute-Saint-Charles, Pierre Paul-Hus.

No visas
According to figures confirmed by the CBSA, the lifting of the requirement for Mexican travellers to submit a visa to the Canadian border on December 1, 2016 would have had a significant influence on the increase in the number of drug traffickers who succeeded in Enter the country.

The CBSA asserts that drug seizures from Mexico had already jumped 80% a year after this decision came into force, and the territorial prohibitions of 500%.

Canadian Customs officers had anticipated that this Trudeau Government policy would have devastating consequences.

"The lifting of the obligation will facilitate travel to Canada to strengthen or establish new cartel smuggling chains," says a progress report from the border services agency consulted through a request for access to information .

Not the only ones
The members of the Mexican cartels are far from being the only ones to take advantage of this novelty. Among these people linked to an unprecedented violence are also suspects from Peru and Colombia, among others.

Most of them procured fake Mexican passports, an easy-to-counterfeit document in view of the corruption that is plaguing the various levels of Government in that country.

"After this decision by the Liberal Government, we saw a resurgence of fake Mexican passports. We can get one for roughly $1000, says Jean-Pierre Fortin, President of the National Union of customs and immigration.

The Office of the Canadian Minister of public safety, Ralph Goodale, has sent us back to the CBSA, which has stipulated by e-mail to take its responsibilities very seriously with respect to border protection and national security.

"In order not to undermine its operational efforts, the CBSA can only speak about its role," he said.

The police have lost track
400 people who have entered Canada and are suspected of being linked to the Mexican drug cartels are now untraceable. Some are actively sought after by the police.
