CIBC price target bumped from 19 to 20

CIBC just put out an earnings update a couple of hours ago - there were two things that were interesting in their new estimates.

CFPS estimates are as follows:

2020 - 1.89
2021 - 2.03
2022 - 2.23

Dividend estimates are as follows:

2020 - 1.36
2021 - 1.53
2022 - 1.70

So they are predicting a fairly significant bump in the dividend each of the next 2 years - and if their CFPS estimates are correct the expectations are realistic as the payout ratios will be in the 75% range even with the increased dividends.

So for what it is worth that is what the analysts at CIBC are projecting - it will be interesting to see how Alaris management proceeds - most likely caution with the dividend for this next quarter until things stabilize and maybe an increase for Q2 if things go as planned.
