AEM near Taranis in Finland

AEM near Taranis in Finland

On AEM website they show the announcement of the continued exploration budget in Finland that is moving South of the Kittila mine (crown jewel), following the Kiistala Fault that intersects the Sirkka Fault where the little Jr, Taranis has proven Au & Cu in their various properties. They will be significantly increasing gold mine production in their expansion as this area is "hot". Has anyone heard it they are collecting properties or exploring South of the TRO properties, as it isn't on their website?

Our exploration activities in Europe centre around the Kittila mine in Finland. Kittila is Agnico Eagle’s largest gold asset by reserves, with strong expansion potential due to its large and growing resources.

In 2013, we signed an option agreement to earn an initial 51% stake in Dragon Mining’s Hanhimaa gold project – which is located just 10 kilometres west of Kittila – by spending €5 million over three years. To date, three gold prospects have been identified by Dragon: Kiimalaki, Kellolaki, and Kiimakuusikko.

The Kittila deposit remains open at depth and along strike. The exploration drilling campaign on the Rimpi zone is nearly completed, and the program north from the Kittilä main orebody is continuing by ramp development from Roura towards Rimpi. The drilling focus in 2013 will be on deep extensions south from the main Kittilä orebody, along strike.

In total, the 2013 Kittila mine-site exploration program includes 29,100 metres of exploration and conversion drilling at a cost of $9.7 million. The exploration ramp toward the Rimpi zone to improve access for deep drilling is scheduled to advance 749 metres in 2013.
