Techone,  LB is presenting for Almonty on Oct 10 at 10.00 AM EST. I think we all have a lot of questions for him. Cheers

Too many questions, possibly hundreds to answer in the short allotted time.frame on IIF October. Normally only three or four get through,..... so sad. Almonty needs a dedicated Q & A  platform, or a dedicated PR person that actually does the job. This silence puzzles me.to wonder WTF is going on ??? .

Looks like today is RBC's turn to have their way with this stock

at what point do we start to worry that there is some really bad news coming our way out of korea?

Anything happening of a material nature would have to be disclosed immediately. Last loan drawdown was 6 weeks ago so the bank must have knowledge of everything being "in check" The lack of updates or a way to get updates certainly seems to be spooking investors though. PS Amazing how despite the stock being so down short positions continue to increase.  Not many people think its ...more

I'm not worried that anything bad is going on, due to the KFW loans that continue to happen. They took years of due dillegence before approving the loan, so if they continue to send us money, I think all is good. That said, with another half million shares sold today, who is this major seller?

I am just wondering if it is possible for the korean government to declare tungsten a strategic metal for their economy and nationalize the sangdong mine, essentially kicking us out of the country. This is happening in other parts of southeast asia, like lynas rare earth mine in malaysia
Comment by cubesoftungsten on Sep 12, 2023 11:27am
If they nationalize, they would need to pay fair market value for it. Plus there is a Canada/ROK Free Trade Agreement which provides protections for foreign investors , see here: https://www.international.gc.ca/trade-commerce/trade-agreements-accords-commerciaux/agr-acc/korea-coree/summary-sommaire.aspx?lang=eng#2 In short, if they antionalize, it's like a buyout as far as we are concerned.

that's what I'm afraid of

South Korea and Tiwan are both South East,Asiian Nations. They work and behave as Western Nations do in minerals and commerce. Vietnam has long ago  (late1989) developed as a Communist Country to welcome the Western ways as well. If the South Korean Govt declares Tungsten as a critical metal, then they join the rest of the Western World on that point. So what ?? I just cant see any thing ...more

all governments work and behave in a certain way until they don't. just looking for plausible explanations as to why large shareholders are dumping millions of shares at these low prices when we are at a stage of the sangdong mine development when prices should be rising and long time holders should be looking forward to gains not selling for peanuts. first dundee, then some mystery european ...more

@rockminer my tohought was the same about LB's investment of $5mil regarding this issue of Nationalization.  Whatever LB does to us, he does to himself also but in a much bigger way. Of course one can think that he would give himself a better deal then the rest of us in this scenario but at that point if that's what someone thinks they should probably just sell their shares and sleep ...more
