RE:RE:Reasons for AC not to make a buy out offer for AIM?

RE:RE:Reasons for AC not to make a buy out offer for AIM?Very good point.  But it seems the leverage will be felt in the boardrooms during negociations over the well known Aeroplan brand.  I think both companies win if they provide a united vision for holders of the loyalty plan.

This new AC "loyalty" AirNoPlan is rather an oxymoron.  I don't think Air Canada expected the over-reaction. Both companies need to understand the problems and resolve them.

Aimia is well position since Air Canada is just one frequent flyer airline.  All the bank relationships, which accounts for 85%-90% of the revenues, remain.

I wonder how Air Canada would react if there were new releases discussing Aeroplan approaching Star Alliance and other airlines.  Everything is already setup on systems to receive "Aeroplan" miles so it's the new "AC AirNoPlan" that has the heavy lifting to do on all sides!
