You can't write an open letter to the board (an effectively, every investor) stating that they believe Aeroplan is worth a "conservative" 1B and then "approve" a sale of 450M... I know there are levels of strategy to this game that is definitely working for them - but I'm not puttng muh stock into what they have to say anymore.
As for Cardlytics, wouldnt the sale have to happen BEFORE Aeroplan is sold off to AC for the stock to rise? When AIMIA sells Aeroplan to AC the stock should drop dramatically. Cardlytics won't be enough to prop it up past 5. I know that AIMIA will have a lot of cash at hand but investors won't have any faith in what's left of AIMIA.
I want to be convinced that AIM will go to at least 5.00 but I just can't see it. I want to believe...
I thought the same thing, why would AP stock go up if they're selling their biggest money maker..well the share price reacted positively of what I thought and now it looks to want to go up more.. wait for the first news
I will sell after the sale of Aeroplan until management can give better guidance of what they plan to do with aimia.
im a bit skeptical as to why we haven't received voting forms as yet... when they were voting on chair members we had forms in the first 2 weeks...
