RE:RE:RE:RE:Scotia $31- NO longer expects 8-10% divy growthA dividend is nothing more than a derivative of the underlying business. Makes no sense to pay a dividend above 6%. I expect the share price to be back in the $30s by end of year when the dividend will make more sense. Also, a high dividend makes raising capital through equity much more costly to the company. I for one would like to see more growth and investment instead of throwing more cash out to shareholders who already earn one of the highest yields out there.
