Program trading

Program tradingAlgos and HFC's drive a lot of the movements these days like it or not.   And agreed,  often totally
unrelated to any fundamentals.   Oil price is off today so that is probably the excuse to hit the
sell button and try and trip stops and scare individuals out after which point algos and HFC's will
drive it back up on the technical signal from being oversold.  Its a real computerized program
that unfortunately never ceases to lure unwary participants into their net and then stab them
hard in the gut.   Very brutal but very effective until such time as investors see it for what it is
and stop participating or try and get in synch with their program.   Wash,  rinse and repeat.
