RE:RE:RE:Petrogas DealHey Ray
Good pick-up BUT the big difference is that I admit it was a bad move investing in oil & gas producers. It tayght me a big lesson so I'm fine with it.
ALA is still the biggest disappointment because it used to be such a great Canadian company and management totally ruined it. I am soooo pleased to be out of it and into CPX instead.
Take her easy

My initial post was about how I got burnt with SGY. My wife & I held for a couple years and lost $18k. It led me to never buy another oil & gas producer for the long term.
At the time I sold (at $2.47), the SH board was saying all the same things as they are now. I thought some people may find my experience as a bit of a learning lesson. (or at least a heads up)

I finished my dumping of ALA on Oct 8th so all out. In total, we sold 4200 shares at an average price of $17.75. Besides some extra early inheritance to the kids, we put a good chunk of it into CPX at $29.03. So far, as expected, it's looking like a good move: ALA -7.27%, CPX +5.55%. I'm actually expecting the gap to widen and for CPX to do even better.
Anyway, it was certainly a big good riddance to the most disappointing stock my wife & I have ever owned.
