RE:RE:RIPET _ Propane Export Terminal

RE:RE:RIPET _ Propane Export TerminalGunnerG:  Understand  your point.  We don’t know  scheduling details.

The behavior of Hellas Glory as it entered PR appeared that it was going to be moored  instead of going straight to anchorage. This could be seen on the track history which is only available for 24 hrs(free version).  My first thought was RIPET was not ready to load Hellas Glory since it only takes 27 hrs to load the tanker easily clearing the bulk carrier mooring by 10hours.

One other note :  One Energy departed on April 8th 15:38 local time.   Hellas Glory was next and was moored April 8th 23:20 local time.  That is about 8 hrs later.  That is a longer time  between ships  since  I have seen on the Teck  wharf  interchange of ships within 2 hrs. Unusual.

In order to maintain a 50 kbbls/day throughput ,  a  new tanker  must be moored every 10 to 11 days on average. Refer to the table to see the current run rate for RIPET.

RE:RIPET _ Propane Export Terminal
The bulk carrier One Energy got in ahead of the Hellas Glory on the 6th and departed ~4 PM on the 8th and Hellas Glory went to the terminal early on the 9th.

How do you know One Energy wasn't scheduled ahead of Helas as opposed to CNR delays.

I would be interested in the link to that information.  Not sure what the scheduling rules would be for RIPET.  ie  If ship scheduled to pull up to RIPET is 12 hours away, they still get the slot and others wait their turn

rfguysd wrote:Hellas Glory went out to sea from Ripet early this morning 9am April10th.  Hellas Glory did arrive on time on the 6th  but only moored on the 9th indicating slight delays  in shipments of propane from CNR. I expect the next VLGC --  Gas Capricorn) to be moored on time April20th.

Daily throughput has plateau just under 50k bbls/day.

FEI (Far East )  propane prices remain  strong  at $520 usd/tonne (vesus ($280 usd/tonne –Edmonton).  FEI propane pricing is expected to remain strong as storage builds and plastic shortages are worked out during the 2nd and 3rd qtrs.
