RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Portfolio insuranceThanks Bossu!
Actually I am in the driving seat on my own - but, of course, I do bounce all ideas off my wife first - hoping that she'll alert me if I'm totally off my rocker on some issue! LOL!
Re VET: I do wish you well and have no doubt that there will be some recovery. However, as a buy-and-hold type of investor and an income investor, all of the "dogs" that I culled from our portfolio had cut their dividend/distribution to zero during the Wu Flu fallout - that applies to HOT.UN, VET and CGX. So I had no time to waste on such wankers as the Brits would say!
Cheers!

Glad to see that ''Portfolio insurance'' has draw your attention and thank you
to share your knowledge about investing.
Pretty sure that you d'ont drive that porfolio of 55 indiividual holdings without help !
Just a note about your ''loss''with Vermilion because I'm still holding that ''dog'' because it is in a RRSP and as you say ''mortally wounded'' so far but with the oil price improving we may see a ''resurrection'' in the coming months.
Take care !
