Markets may be irrational for a bit. Interest rates won't be up for long. Recession/stagflation will send rates back down to less than 1% within 18-24 months. Altagas will keep performing. With markets going down in anticipation for a recession, stock might see $22. Will be a great time to purchase. With continued performance and rates eventually moving back down, Altagas' stock price ...more

Question:  When you say interests rates will go back down to 1%  what interest rates are you talking about BoC  prime??   Thanks  - appreciate your analysis re ALA.  I waqs surprised by the amount of the dip but know it will recover but how quickly is of interest.   Thanks Cheers

Anyone have any idea what's sparked the sell-off since last week? ALA was at $30.50 over a week ago, now dropped almost 19% in the last trading sessions. It's dropped by more than any index has, and also more than the price of oil.

I think it's people selling their winners (where they are still in the green), putting extra pressure on stocks that have done exceptionnally well the past two years.

massive sell off is painful. Buying the dip was not a good idea.

Thanks--it's already been a painful few weeks, and today looks relatively muted everywhere else, except in energy, and then this is even worse than all my energy stocks.
