RE: Sprott Owns over 19 % of ALS

RE: Sprott Owns over 19 % of ALSIMHO, I thought you may enjoy a little journey that may connect some possible dots developing between Altius, Sprott, and even Rick Rule. One) I have three guides. Oddly they seldom all agree on anything. Up until now, last time I can remember that they all agreed on something, was when they agreed on Altius. This is why I purchase Altius. Other than that, the only thing that stood out in my mind as unique about Altius was that it had a positive cash low in these royalties. For every other exploration company, for every month that went by, it was one month closer to running out of money. In April 2002, I purchased 8K shares of Altius for C$1.34 a share. In January 2006, I purchased another 8K shares Altius for C$3.20 a share. So today those 16K shares that cost me US$41K are now worth US$309K. This is well over a quarter of a million US dollars in profit. (So unlike some people, I just cannot find anything to complain about.) Two) Rick Rule. In January two or three years ago, I ran into Rick Rule at a Gold Mining in Vancouver Canada. Everybody was there, including Casey and Van Eeden and many, many others. So we have all of these ‘constrain’ gold bugs saying the same thing. (1999 - 2007). As we live though these times, we realize that yes they are correct. BUT it has, so far, taken longer to develop than the gold bugs have implied and we spend a lot more time suffering through market downturns than implied. Well, Rick Rule was in the isles taking of all things about investing in water, and that because of ups and downs, it is better to get involved in the banking end, because the bank will be well paid regardless as to rather the stock goes up or down - and the market is always cyclic. As you know, Rick Rule, among other things, OWN A MAJOR SHARE OF QUEST CAPITAL, a bank that specializes in financing exploration companies. So I think the convention was having trouble herding a cat. They would rather not hear these inconvenient truths. They gave him a speaking time of 7:00 a.m. in the morning, so that almost nobody would hear him. Why do I say that? I say it because the convention would not officially open its doors until 10:00 a.m.. So it is sad to see the treatment that we give our super geniuses. Even after Einstein published his revolutionary paper on special relativity, he was rejected in his attempt to get a promotion from clerk, third class, in the Swiss Patent Office, to clerk, second class. He was rejected in his attempt to get a job as a college instructor, only to be again humiliated in his attempt to become a high school science teacher. So Einstein simple accepted his fate to remain ‘Clerk - third class.’ However, In Rick Rules case, I said to myself that at least he has the consolation of laughing all the way to the bank. I have now come modify that statement. The gold bugs are now laughing all the way to the bank. Rick Rule is the bank. Three) Well something has happened. For the first time since Altius, my three guides are telling me to do the same thing. Please forgive me for impolitely mentioning another stock on this BullBord. They were all encouraging me to purchase General Minerals Corp. (GNM:TSX). What does GNM do? It is all a mystery to me. It seems to be in the process of converting itself into a shell. It is becoming clear to me that the fact that GNM is on the TSX rather than the Venture exchange is pivotal to what is going on here. When I tried to inquire what is going on here, someone referred to it as the new “Rick Rule Family Trust.” Well, this stock shot straight up and immediately doubled. Did it do this just on the rumor that Rick Rule has something to do with this? I think it is so. Nobody has idea about what is going on. Oddly, the old time shareholders of GNM seem to be the ones most clueless about what is happening to them. My impression was that I had missed out on this ‘opportunity’ by a matter of hours. It can be a bad policy to chase stocks. I thought that I had completely lost this one. Perhaps I should change my user name to ‘Lucky.’ I woke up the other morning owing GNM. I have used about the same amount of money to purchase GNM as I used to acquire my Altius stock. Remember that this thread is titled “Sprott Owns 19% of Altius.” When I purchase a new position, I usually introduce myself to the BullBoard. So I am going to direct you over to the GMN BullBoard. Read three posts. The first is my introduction. Select ‘next message.’ It is a response to my previous post from Rick Rule. There is always a lot to be learned from studying his what he is saying in his cryptic few words style. Select the ‘next message’ again. This is the point of all of this. Look at that second line. STREAMING YELLOW ZONKERS! Now down the rabbit hole. https://www.stockhouse.com/bullboards/viewmessage.asp?no=15282068&t=0&all=0&TableID=0 Thanks for being patient with me. RJ
