Douglas Casey, writing in the Sept. 1, 2005, issue of his International Speculator, says Altius Minerals Corp. (then $3.64) is on his list of 10 companies that junior resource speculators should own. Mr. Casey said buy four times between September, 2001, and April, 2005, at prices from 51 cents to $3.65. An investment of $1,000 each time would be worth $10,961 today. The jet-setting letter writer says Altius remains one of the most prolific and well-run project generators on the market today. The company, he says, has plenty of projects going, any number of which can be expected to generate news this fall. In addition, its royalty from the giant Voisey's Bay nickel mine "is about to kick in, throwing off millions in free cash to use for more company building at minimal shareholder dilution." Mr. Casey says his top 10 picks are the ones that he would want to make sure he owns before the news starts picking up this fall.
