I could have bought shares in an oil company run by someone incompetent and really really dumb and done better than i would have in africa oil.

You might be on to something with the moron revelation. What's your complaint?  The shares I bought just a few weeks ago are up 31%. If you bought shares in the last three years, they're up - and there's plenty more upside to come. Pro tip: most investors limit their whining to stocks that lose money.

Just to note i am long AOI. I too am a little disappointed but you don't give away all your money in dividends if you are hoping to buy more production (noting that it will take a lot to get something with oil at these prices).  You have to remember the guidance i believe was based on $73 oil, so should be better than the guidance. I also think that being a junior oil producer you won ...more
