Dividend Yield

Hello, just wondering if someone can explain why AQN yield is always posted at 4.5+/-  on many web locations while my yield indicated at investorline is 3.5 +/- ..Thanks

The payout is $0.6824 USD per share. At an exchange rate of 1.26, this equals to $0.86 CAD per share. $0.86 / $19.68 = 4.37% yield. If investorline shows you something else, then there's something wrong with their calculation.

OP, US dollar dividend odds are they didnt factor that information on the automated calculator so the math will show a .68 dividend being a 3.5 % yield. other sites either use a constent exchange rate or what the dividends are converted as of that day. Be mindful that there are some TSX listed companies who have US dollar books and/ or (some companies have one dollar books the other dividend ...more
