I was expecting around 300,000 jobs to be created, and that's what happened. However, even if the Fed delays its eventual easing cycle, this could send equities lower, giving gold a new boost as a safe-haven asset. I still think that $2,300 an ounce could be the target by the end of the year.

Technically correct, but today dollar going up, yields going up and POG up, moderately but up; staying a gold bull for now.  IMO

IMHO    I am starting to think   looking how the price of gold has been acting of late  there may be other reasons...   I am starting to believe in a decoupling from the American dollars reasonings on its effects on gold??                                        ...more

Don't forget that waiting too long to lower rates could cause the markets to correct rapidly and we could quickly fall into recession, which is positive for gold.
