Valuation and Who is Buying at $3.51?

I haven't posted here in years (use the same handle on ceo.ca or seeking alpha). I am in heavy on the warrants. Somebody is buying this stock around $3.51 in large amounts. Could be funds or big traders. GCM seems to be starting to form a base after those 2 articles came out on Seeking Alpha the same day. Looking at this valuation, it's just ridiculous. Anyone talking about $1.50 needs to understand GCM hold almost that much per share in other stocks (Aris and Denarius) on a non-diluted basis. It looks like the market is attributing no value to any Colombian assets right now (Aris shares, Segovia). Not sure how Toroparu has such a low value attributed to it as well. Sure there is execution risk on getting the mine built on time and on budget but it's in a different country at least. Worst case if Colombian assets go to $0 (I highly doubt that would happen as an underground not open pit miner) Toroparu can carry this company for years. I was curious if there are any covenants in the bonds relating to cash flow of the company (I see this in the energy space a lot). Other than that, they have $315.1 M in cash and the $138 M stream from Silver Wheaton to get it done. Low share count. Also the 10 M warrants expire April 30, 2024 which would bring in another $22 M or so. This is the cheapest profitable producer I have ever seen if my memory serves me correctly.

Erick Sprott told Serafano a couple of years ago "you should be ashamed of your stock price" haha so funny....as if they have total control over it. They changed thier name to GCM to hide Columbia from the name. Didnt work. They bought back some stock. Didn't work. The stock price is still shamefully low. Interesting times ahead for sure.

Maybe they should've kept the name Gold X Mining after acquiring Toroparu?  That would've at least removed any and all references to any locale perceived as "negative".  Maybe they could kick the tires on another strategic acquisition?  So many juniors are absolutely hammered down in terms of their share prices, it would be better now than waiting until a market ...more

I was doing some research and 5% ownership is the threshold that would need to be passed before ownership is disclosed by any stockholder. The requirement is within 10 days of passing 5%. Looking at the volume, 1,576,471 shares have traded over the last 6 trading days as we have mostly traded sideways between $3.44-$3.53 with a few sold off rallies. That's around 1.6% of the total float ...more

it is flat maybe because gcm assets are already discounted down to zero, segovia 200k oz/yr production priced at $0, aris and denarius shares priced at $0, and fully funded toro with npv of us$800 mil @1500 gold is priced at a huge discount of us$265 mil, while dividend is 5%.

Now GCM is trading like Gold is going back down to $1100/oz. The vaulation is crazy.  I recall this happend to Silvercorp Metals (SVM.TO) trading under$1 back in 2015 (they could use their cash to buy themselves back) and I loaded it up. Gold performed well during last stagflation (70s) and I am waiting for Fed to blink. If Fed keeps hiking rate no matter what then we will have a ...more

With a ridiculously low valuation like that it is hard to believe they aren't backing up the truck to buy back shares. WTH is going on? Buying back down here is at least a 50% return on money if not more not to mention saving 5% on dividend. Must be getting a heck of a return in that savings acct. with $300 mil. Color me confused. T

Alway lke how you think Heywood-Silvers though you should change your name to gold? Agree Gold X whould have lessened locale perception. Also agree their are some little gaffers you could pick up for a song right now. Might take  them too long to do due diligence of merits but I could think of a few. Used to know more in Columbia. IKE

Yes, I love the gold, however, we know that in PM bull markets, silver is like gold on steroids.  Seems that GCM has taken a shine to Denarius, so I'm not the only one keen on the poor man's gold.  The key to GCM's success will be diversification of jurisdictions and PMs.
