RE:Marmato Best Case

RE:Marmato Best CaseThere is an exciting possibility that these 2 high grade drill holes from 5 years apart are interconnected by continuous high grades stretching from the 2017 hole at 112 m depth to the 2012 hole at 872 depth. It make take quite a lot of drilling to prove or disprove this, but this drilling and the further development of Marmato can be financed by starting to mine the relatively shallow high grade zone starting at 112m:

A small underground drilling campaign was carried out at Marmato to explore the extension of the vein mineralization between Level 21, the deepest level of the mine, down to Level 24. One of these holes, MND-11-16, intersected 8.98 m at 20.99 g/t Au and 7.11 g/t Ag from 112.32 m to 121.30 m depth, followed by 50.40 m at 2.20 g/t Au and 3.32 g/t from 121.30 m to the end of the hole at 171.70 m.

TORONTO, Oct. 10, 2012 /CNW/ - Gran Colombia Gold Corp. (TSX: GCM) is pleased to announce drilling results from the latest underground drill hole in the deep zone at its Marmato Project in Colombia.  Highlights from hole MT-1500 include 1.6 grams per tonne of gold and 1.5 grams per tonne of silver over 618 meters of drilling. The hole also includes 16.9 meters with 35.2 grams per tonne of gold, with a 1.8 meter section containing 159 grams per tonne of gold, from a depth of 872 metres.

The best case scenario for Marmato is that they mine all the high grade first, and they drill plenty of it (they are presenting Marmato high grade at the conference which implies there is more than a small amount).
