Aris Shorts Digging in their HeelsI decided today to check out the short interest for Aris in Canada and the US. Short volume is the highest in a year in Canada. The US ticker ARMN is new but it shows a robust level of 700,000 shares short. Between the two exchanges, the short interest is around 3 million shares. That may not sound like much but when you put it into daily trading volume persepective, that is 10 days of trading.
Yesterday I mentioned the stock needing a spark to get through $4.70 resistance. With the relative high level of short interest, a spark should cause a decent sized squeeze. The additional problem for shorts is surpassing 4.70 is a new 52 week high. Trading platforms focus in and buy into 52 week highs. Could get interesting. Come on Old Yeller, best $2200 so we can disgorge fat Aris Mining shorts of their profits over the past few years.
