the fact the 50 just crossed over the 200. And on high volume the last couple of days, the former being the day of the G-cross and yesterday being heavy volume  the follow up. My major fear, and may be a reason for the short interest, would be if the company did something dilutive in the from of a capital raise. I just got killed when CXB did a 100 mill PP which torpedeod their stock, left them stranded at $1.68, when they would've been over $2 by now. Like ARIS they have a cashcow mine that was supposed to fund their newly aquired newfoundland property. By-wap-just like that 100 mill PP at, needless to say, a price lower than current shareprice and of coust leaving it stranded their just as gold roared over the all important $2100 range- sacrificing current shareholders to ensure the investment banks would be able to use the historic jump in gold price to sell the placement. Hopefully the same doesn't happen here.

drunk, there are several miners that use the market as an ATM machine.  Either they aren't generating enough cash flow to stay liquid (GSVR.V) or they need to raise a ton of cash to build a mine (AR.TO).  I'd say relax about Aris.  They already have $195 million of cash on hand and generating $160 million in EBITDA.  Accounting for the recent rise in Gold, they are ...more
