RE:RE:RE:RE:Great Q4You are cutting the heads off your flowers buddy but I get it. With Nat Gas in the tank you are rightfully nervous. But doesnt 'this time feel different'? Usually nat gas takes the nat gas stocks right into the tank with it. Not this time for whatever reason.
To quote Nuttal on X "US shale is NOT surging. Permian consolidation very positive for oil macro, and 31% base decline rates should reveal the value of low decline, long reserve life assets in Canada"
He's talking more about oil but it applies to nat gas as well. The market is waking up to the reality of shale decline rates, 31% is A BIG DECLINE RATE. The more shale drilling discipline we see the tighter the supplies are going to get, thats what he means by consolidation being very positive. The big players are well positioned to ride out these down swings in prices. And the market is waking up that they are likely temporary. When all the negative catalysts are already cooked in, the only thing thats left is positive catalysts - and we just had one with a solid Q4 - more to come. Easy hold. GLTA
