Analyst Ranking

Ques: WIth oil potentially heading above $80 and beyond, the following companies that I own should benefit. They are GXE, ATH, BTE and SGY. How would you rank them to determine which is the best play of the four?

Answer: While BTE might move the most with the price of oil, it is not our favourite. Our ranking would be GXE, ATH, SGY and BTE so if you are only looking to buy one, we are most comfortable with GXE.

So said 5iResearch last week. GLTA

Don't get lost in the forest looking for that perfect tree. Pick one, flip a coin, buy a basket of 6 names. It won't matter nearly as much as just being invested. All 4 will do very well. Or if oil crashes. All 4 will do very poorly.

Wti up again. UAE had their little tantrum. Saudis told them GFY. Oil going higher for longer. If uae keeps pushing their luck eventually the saudis will "rescue" the people of the emirates from the influence of the infidels. Or some made up excuse to roll a few tanks downtown Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

At which point Israel threatens Saudi Arabia in response to their malicious attacks aimed at a sovereign nation. What's in it for Israel since we playing what if... Discount crude and keeps UAE away from Iran...

aint happening dude that they(Saudis)  screw around with UAE . they got their hands full with a brawl with Qatar and the Iran proxy Houthis are hammering Southern saudi/Jizan. They wont open another front with UAE

Again this info is from a guy who stayed 5 years in Saudi . They dont have a proper military, lol , either they hire Pakistani army or jordanian/egyptian army or the US army to fight for them .Local Saudis rarely enlist in thier army and thats the reason why a local Yemeni  militia like the Houthis has them by the balls.Lol

Indeed...I remember several years back, there was a lot of reporting that the ground troops deployed in Yemen by the Saudis were latin american mercenaries, particularly colombians.

Don't be so sure about that. The Emirates are desperate to be the Switzerland of the Arab world but they are resented by both sides. Their greatest fear is Saudi tanks rolling down the highway. It used to be saddam, but it's never been Iran that kept them up at night. Yes they have houthis up the hoohooo but there is a huge difference picking a fight with a large population of desperate ...more

Great advice here from Maxmoe.  Forget about what's happened, all the things are in place for a very powerful oil rally from here.  It is going to take something significant to derail it.  Like a pandemic, for example.   Stear clear of NG.  Nat gas and the gassy namges may be overbought. NG moves very quickly with the slightest change in the weather.    ...more
