Is it just me or is the differential slipping?
Are we at a 15 spread today for wcs vs wti? What is the reason for the slippage even with the pipeline in full operation?

I believe the vast majority of the transmountain expansion is now being shipped to the west coast of the states. They'll say the quality is "bad, very bad" and continue to pay peanuts to the Canadians. Canadians will then pay top dollar for the refined products from the states. Quite the racket.

Well, it's early days for TMX. I suspect the contracts being fulfilled today were negotiated long before the completion of the TMX. The bump in WTI since TMX started pumping has helped to take the sting out of WCS differentials but we're just going to have to wait and see where it settles out after Mr Market has a few months to sort things out. jmo go ATH go
