I'm serious...

check the headlines over the last few years.

"legacy litigation..."
"remediation agreement Quebec Supreme Court"

Change the name to "Atkins" or something solid and free of the sleazy associations. I agree it's old news - but what is the first thing people think when this company is mentioned?

if Encana can become ovintiv which sounds like an IUCD or a hormone supplement, then surely a name change with SNC is appropriate.

That name change has been mentioned here several times over the last 4 years since the scandal news broke out. I mentioned it myself to change the name from SNC Lavalin to "Atkins Engineering" which would get rid of the SNC stigma of past scandulous CEO and corporate business practices.
