PAKIT Inc., a leading clean technology company that has developed and patented a transformational, industry-changing technology, is a step closer to full-scale production of its PAKIT100(TM) fibre moulding machines, thanks to a strategic alliance with Ontario-based ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc.
ATS, which provides advanced manufacturing solutions to many of the world's most successful companies, draws on more than 30 years of experience in providing innovative custom designed, built, and installed manufacturing solutions that meet specialized equipment manufacturing requirements. With facilities in Canada, the U.S., Europe, Southeast Asia, and China, ATS provides PAKIT with the manufacturing expertise, production capacity, and customer support to meet current and future global demand for high performance, sustainable packaging technology.
"Our strategic alliance with ATS enables us to ramp up the manufacturing and delivery of the PAKIT100(TM) to satisfy the equipment, service, and installation needs of the very large companies for whom we are licensing technology and developing and testing products," says Brian Birmingham, PAKIT's President and Chief Executive Officer.
Over the past 10 years, PAKIT's scientists have designed, refined, and sought support for the commercialization of a technology that can turn cellulose fibre into recyclable and biodegradable moulded board for the packaging industry. Locally-sourced raw materials - such as grass, agricultural waste, or newsprint - can be transformed by PAKIT's patented technology into virtually any shape, from compartmentalized food containers to mobile phone packaging.
