China to maintain its exports of rare earth minera

If this is the case, looks like china is starting to back off its stance abit on REE....or is maintaining a strong pokerface of some sort. I sold my AVL shares since altho it has a great deposit and good management, i feel the estimated time of production is way later in the future around 2015 and beyond. Instead, I think i've looked to lithium as a stock to emerge out of nowhere in the coming year.

PARIS: China will maintain its exports of rare earth minerals next year, Trade Minister Chen Deming said on Friday, adding that trade in rare earths should not be made into a political issue.
"The rare earth issue should not be made political. China will maintain its existing rare earth exports next year," Chen, who was accompanying President Hu Jintao on an official visit, told reporters.
