RE:RE:RE:rare earth processing

RE:RE:RE:rare earth processingIn the absence of a North Amercian processing plant, concentrate must be shipped to Europe. This is one of the factors rendering the deposit uneconomic. [ Further to transport problems: (1) no practical winter transport (there is no winter road of which I am aware, which leaves dogsled and/or skidoo), and inefficient summer transport (barge). ]

A processing plant in Sask might be of immense benefit, provided it is designed to handle AVL's concentrate. But what puzzles me is this -- where would the plant's feedstock come from? Nechalacho remains a dream at this point, so the decision to build a plant is based on feedstock from ... where, exactly?

I doubt any significant physical benifit but certainly adds to the awareness of RE

certainly research opportunities will be there and not so far away from our northern site on GSL. Via winter road thru Alberta's Ft Mac area to Ft smith to Thor lake. Might be an opportunity for AVL to participate in the project if it was practical .... but that takes money !!
