Forbes Insights Executive Briefing: Underutilizing Security

Forbes Insights Executive Briefing: Underutilizing SecuritySummary: Typical security setups may involve hundreds of cameras, on-site security guards or personnel employed to monitor live video feeds from one or several cameras at once. The drawback of these methods is that they can be both expensive and ineffective. So it is perhaps unsurprising that our research finds businesses significantly underutilize their video surveillance and analytics even for basic security, and seem to be largely unaware of its applications beyond that.

The data in this report is based on a global survey of 477 executives conducted by Forbes Insights in spring 2015. Fifty-five percent of respondents were from companies with $1 billion or more in annual revenue; 21% were from companies with $10 billion or more in annual revenue.
