RE:RE:RE:Csinc

RE:RE:RE:Csinc@csi... As you state, there are a thousand possibilities.
The question is hard to answer but I will do my best.
T64 makes mention of AXIS and I think that is a great place to start.

Pros for AXIS. VERY WELL established firm with lots of federal installs,

very well integrated into a WIDE range of LEADING card access AND video software management companies,  This gives  the end user the possibility of using many different analytic software packages out there and also tie into large card access systems controlling hundred to tens of thousands of doors and sites.  AXIS is not a threat to the large card access or video management software companies

Available directly to installers or through large distribution networks.
Western based technology

Cons for AXIS
Not a North American company
Not an in house video solution like AVO, but as numerous companies integrate with axis, there are in the end lots of options for the end user.

Pros for AVO. North American made. Huge NICE TO HAVE for anyone interested in network security
Like AXIS, excellent product so no real big advantage today. AVO had the jump on everyone before but others have caught up now.
Good video management software but because they wish to promote their in house solutions, I have seen other software options that could help their end users ignored!
AVO like axis has good people and support

AVO cons.   Only available through authorized dealers.  That severely limits sales.  I know of many extremely qualified installers who would sell their product and can easily manage the software but because dealerships are limited, they are cut out. Very bad move by AVO!
Because AVO with their card access system is a threat or nuisance to large card access companies, it hurts their ability to be integrated or recommend as a hang on to their systems.
Because AVO has their own video management software, large video management companies may favor other non-competing brands such as AXIS.

Quick recap. Just an opinion  based on what I have seen and heard on the street.

So, to answer the question or per T64 pricing info.  I can see them getting the same type of bump as AXIS or perhaps more if a VERY large card access company wanted their North American made line of cameras and analytics built into their in house card access offerings. Could Panasonic or Pelco want to purchase them?  Maybe a good option for them. Great way to get rid of competition and snag some software and clients along the way.
