Artis Real Estate Investment Trust is an unincorporated closed-end REIT based in Canada. Artis REIT's portfolio comprises properties located in Central and Western Canada and select markets throughout the United States, including regions such as Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Arizona, Minnesota, Colorado, New York, and Wisconsin. The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. The industrial properties account for most of the portfolio, followed by the office properties and the retail properties.

RE:We need to look at this objectivelyI don't agree with this. I think if Artis spins off more office assets and becomes an industrial focused REIT they can see multiple expansion. Especially as they delever and become less risky in a falling rate enviornment. Not sure how feisible it is to continue selling office but industrial REITs capture a better multiple and this is a crafty way to get unit price appreciation without a total sale. Takes some work and maybe a name change/alteration but that is something I'd love to see.
