Portfolio Map

I spent extensive  time this weekend analyzing arti's assets.  Artis definitely has a very broad range of assets and diversified over locations, while some look boring others look like they are well located and high-quality buildings.  You can check it out here.   The good thing about artis is that this does provide it with the ability to continue to crystalize some  of the value in their portfolio and execute on their plan, unlike a pure office play that may have limited options right now.   

Even retail that are grocery anchored will be able to sell easy IMO.

How long have you owned Artis? 2 years? It amazes me how people can buy a REIT but haven't looked at all their most substantial properties yet.

I've owned artis for 6 years but tripled my position recently.  I don't analyze every reit as just seeing a picture of a building far away doesn't help I buy I look at debt , payout ratio and historical charts.  And stockhouse helps

I think covid+work from home has essentially inverted everything. A market like Winnipeg which would have been regarded as undesirable a few years ago has a lot going for it now in my opinion. Nobody ever did much in the way of building in Winnipeg because it's Winnipeg. That means there is way less new office supply to absorb than  "more desirable markets" which is very ...more

Agree. Even read "trophy" rated buildings in San Fran still in demand at premium despite turmoil. Keep in mind Artis looming at&t denver building is trophy rated class A... Not the same lump of coal in real estate. 70% of artis office exposure is class a
