SHORTS ARE HUNGRY

I would like to  believe the opportunity for a small squeeze going into earnings  in 9 business days and that mr powell that doesnt come out swinging with the intention of cratering the markets given how more regional banks are still on the edge.  

I feel like the shorts wanna squeeze all the juice they can on the way down before they cover and it may play into mr manis hands with 5 million more sharesl left to buyback.

US REIT sector may be on an uptrend and the  S & P looks like it could potentially break out after making a few higher lows past 10 months.  Financials and  REITS have to come out of their funk if  thats  to happen.

Either way its going to an insane 2 weeks from here.

My preference is Artis stabilizes in the $7.50-$8.50 range for a peace of mind

I don't see Artis going much lower. It seems like a very poor short to me at $7. Paying an 8%+ distribution yield and betting on prices going lower on a REIT which maxes out the NCIB each year does not strike me as a prudent choice - not to mention all the units presently sold short which could send the unit price up even for no reason if people started covering their positions. Reece, you obviously dont  know how the sharks  on wall street operate.  They will make the average joe investors puke at the end of the trade and when everyone and their mother is selling, they will cover and before you know it itll snap back $2-3 fast.

I don't however I have read the Artis Annual Report a couple times, looked at what Artis owns, and won't be selling my position no matter what shorts send the price to because I am comfortable with my investment in Artis. I view my Artis investment as the perfect complement to my investment in Dream Office. Between the two of them, I feel like I have Canadian office real estate well ...more
