The land development segment offers for sale both developed and undeveloped real property to national, regional and local homebuilders, commercial and industrial property developers, and others. The Company owns approximately 17,000 acres in Sandoval County, New Mexico. The Company develops both residential lots and sites for commercial and industrial use as demand warrants. The homebuilding segment offers a variety of home floor plans and elevations at different prices and with varying levels of options and amenities to meet the needs of homebuyers. The Company is focused on selling single-family detached and attached homes. The Company commenced operations in New Mexico of its internal homebuilder, Amreston Homes. The Company utilizes internal and external sales brokers for home sales.

RE: novaThe exploration work is no longer at arms length. The folks that were do the work for Alexco have now left NovaGold and joined Alexco on a permanent basis. From the March 25th PR:

"Stan Dodd has been appointed Vice President, Exploration for Alexco.Mr. Dodd managed Alexco's exploration work at Keno Hill in 2007 undersecondment from NovaGold Resources Inc., where he had previouslymanaged NovaGold's interests at Donlin Creek. Mr. Dodd's backgroundincludes 30 years of experience in a variety of exploration roles fornumerous mining companies including Amoco Minerals, Cyprus Minerals,Meridian Minerals, Kennecott Exploration and Placer Dome. In additionto the appointment of Mr. Dodd, Alexco has hired three additionalsenior geologists, Melanie Roberts, Dick Lippoth and Rick Dutka,previously employees of NovaGold and who have all been associated withthe Keno Hill project since inception."
